Profiting from Trends in Food, Drink and Hospitality
The Food, Drink and Hospitality sectors make up a huge slice of the UK economy and employ close to 5 Million people. It’s also an incredibly dynamic, fast changing area driven by changing consumer trends – trends such as flexitarianism that are creating huge opportunities for aspiring businesses. Not only that, but there are huge changes relating to supply chains, use of technology and staffing needs. And that’s all before Brexit!
These are sectors that see more new businesses being formed and funded than any other – food brands are regular recipients of crowd funding.
The seminar will include a short presentation on the outlook for UK Food, Drink and Hospitality, looking at the key and emerging trends. Our Panel will then take a look at where the best opportunities lie for growing businesses and the approach needed to make the most of them.

Their aim is to create a world where nobody feels out of place for not drinking. Club Soda has individuals, drinks brands, and social spaces in its membership. The inspiration for Club Soda comes Laura’s experience of giving up drinking seven years ago. A campaigner at heart with a background in movement building and politics, she realised that one of the big sticking points was a way to support people to take a self-guided journey to change their drinking. Club Soda has over 30,000 individual members, have built a venue listing guide for mindful drinkers (clubsodaguide.com) and they run the UK’s only Mindful Drinking Festival - the next one is this July.
